假設語氣，用於假設已經發生的狀況描述，所以都用過去時態，但是為了假設現在情形還是過去情形，分為簡單過去和完成過去。因為都用來假設語氣基本上都適用來懺悔用的，所以不會來懺悔未來，只有較輕微的口氣期望才會有未來式的發生。
